Communications and Marketing Director, City of Round Rock

Sara Bustilloz serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the City of Round Rock. She transitioned from newspaper reporting to government communications in 2012, working for the cities of Midland and Pflugerville before joining Round Rock’s Communications Department in 2018. Sara is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, the Certified Public Communicator program at Texas Christian University, and the University of Virginia’s LEAD program. She also holds a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in Public Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She currently serves on the Executive Board for the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers.
