Director of Communications, City of Round Rock

Austin Ellington serves as the Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing for the City of Round Rock. Since joining the City in 2015, he has created and managed award-winning campaigns and digital media efforts that inform and engage the community. Austin brings a strong background in public affairs and higher education, with prior experience at The University of Texas System, the City of Austin, and the Texas House of Representatives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Edward’s University and a Master of Public Administration from Texas State University. Austin is a frequent speaker on social media strategy and engagement, sharing best practices with public sector communicators across Texas and the nation.
