Alvin has worked for Williamson Central Appraisal District for over 25 years and was hired as Chief Appraiser in 2009.  Mr. Lankford holds a Registered Professional Appraiser (RPA) designation from the State of Texas and a Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) and Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS) designation from the International Association of Assessing Officers.  He was the 2022 Texas Association of Appraisal Districts President and served as an elected board member with the International Association of Assessing Officers from 2023-2025.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. 

Mr. Lankford is a proud father of two daughters, Shelby 27 a Registered Nurse at the Dell Children’s Emergency Room in Austin and Emily 24 who is attending medical school at the University of North Texas as well as husband to Lorie who is a Governmental Accounting Consultant.
